Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry (PABI) heard updates on the school system and on the YMCAs in the parish at its February general membership meeting. Offering the school update was school superintendent Dr. Shelley Ritz who was recently appointed. Ritz had served as interim superintendent since last year’s retirement of Denis Rousselle. Offering updates on the YMCAs was the newly appointed director in Belle Chasse, Dana Wattigney and Jennifer Sanger, long time director of the south Plaquemines YMCAs.
