Since the inception of PABI in 2004, Our Association membership of business and professionals has continued to grow and is now approximately 200. Our members include multinational corporations as well as many small business owners. PABI is a non-profit, non-governmental affiliated organization financed entirely by the investment of membership dues and is led by an all-volunteer board elected from the general membership.
The PABI monthly membership meetings typically host a guest speaker addressing a current topic of interest to the local business community. In order to accommodate members throughout the region, the monthly meetings normally alternate between venues in both north and south Plaquemines Parish.
As Executive Director, I am your link to information of activities within PABI as well as news and developments affecting business, economic and civic vitality in our region, I keep the membership informed of local governmental activities by maintaining a presence at the Parish Council Meeting and submitting follow-up reports of particular items of interest. PABI is committed to a unified, regional alliance with our neighboring parishes and business organizations, resulting in the Executive Director's seat at the table at various Federal, State and neighboring jurisdictions where policy and decision making are implemented. This results in the value of your membership dues reaching far beyond Parish lines in fulfilling our mission.
